Meet the CAA Niagara Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the Club's governing body and acts on behalf of its Members to ensure effective organizational planning, support internal leadership, maintain financial viability and oversee the Club's mission and strategic priorities. The Board collaborates as a team with shared responsibilities and is committed to working closely with CAA Niagara's Management Team to achieve success in all areas of the operation.

Janice Thomson

Janice Thomson

Board Chair

Janice Thomson joined the Board of CAA Niagara in 2015. Thomson has been President & CEO of Niagara Falls Tourism since May 2019, following an 18-year career as Executive Director of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce & VCB. Janice served as Chair of the Niagara Parks Commission (2010-2018), Chair of the Tourism Partnership of Niagara (2014-2016, currently Vice Chair) and a Board member for the TO2015 Pan and ParaPan Am Games Organizing Committee. Previously, Janice served nine years as Commissioner of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission (two years as Chair) and had an 18-year career in senior executive positions within the import automotive industry.

Michael Goodale

Michael Goodale

A member of the CAA Niagara Board of Directors since 2016, Michael Goodale enjoyed a 32-year career with the Ontario Public Service. Retiring as the assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services Division and the Chief Administrative Officer for the Ministry of Transportation, Michael worked across the organization, leading numerous key initiates that helped shape the ministry’s current policy development, asset management and road safety programs. In recent years, Michael has lent his expertise to the Niagara community, where he serves on multiple boards and volunteers regularly.

Rob DePetris

Rob DePetris

Past Chair

A member of the CAA Niagara Board of Directors since 2014 and former Board Chair, Rob's accomplished career spans multiple industries. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration in Co-op Accounting from Brock University, is a graduate of University of Toronto Law School and, in 1994, was called to the Bar. His community involvement includes being the first chair of the Board of Directors of nGen, acting as President of the St. Catharines-Thorold Chamber of Commerce and chairing the Cities of St. Catharines and Thorold Prosperity Council. Rob, specializing in estate and tax planning for owner manager businesses, has clients across southern Ontario. He is also President of St. Catharines Minor Baseball Association and sits on the boards of the United Way of St. Catharines and District and the Rotary Club of St. Catharines.

A member of the CAA Niagara Board of Directors since 2016, Adam Cook is Vice President of the Credit Bureau Services Canada. A graduate of the University of Windsor, Adam is excited to contribute his knowledge and experience to CAA Niagara.

Bill Kerr

Director

Bill Kerr joined the CAA Niagara Board of Directors in 2018. Bill is a partner in one of Canada's leading sales intercept companies. His business background includes senior positions at Canadian Tire Financial Services and President, Comp-U-Card of Canada. He has a passion for coaching minor hockey and helping to grow junior golf in Niagara.

Richard Halinda

A member of the CAA Niagara Board of Directors since 2004, a past Chair of the Niagara Board and a past Director of the CAA National Board. Richard Halinda has practiced law for more than 37 years, with offices in Fort Erie and Welland. An avid golfer, Mr. Halinda is a member and past Director of the Cherry Hill Club in Ridgeway and is a past member, Director and President of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club.

Bruno Iafrate

A member of the CAA Niagara Board of Directors since 2005, Bruno Iafrate has represented CAA Niagara as Board Chair from 2009-2012 as well as representing the Club on the National Board. Mr Iafrate is the CFO and Vice President of Operations of Imbibitive Technologies Corporation. Mr. Iafrate is also a current Board member of the Niagara Industrial Association and has sat on the Board for the St. Catharines YMCA, the YMCA Building Committee, and the Canadian Italian Business Professional Association of Niagara.

Lorna MacInnis

Lorna MacInnis

Director

Lorna joined the CAA Niagara Board of Directors in 2018 bringing a wealth of knowledge of the insurance industry to the table. She is a long time resident of the Niagara region and appreciates the region's interests and needs. Through her 40 year career and volunteer work, Lorna has been closely involved with small business, corporations, individuals and the broader community outside the Niagara region. For over 10 years she has also worked with a local hospice provider as a volunteer assisting with families and administrative functions gaining insight into the specific needs of this sector. She is dedicated, enthusiastic and interested in ensuring the future of CAA continues to serve its members effectively.

Lindsay Gazzard

Lyndsay Gazzard

Lyndsay Gazzard has been a member of the Board of CAA Niagara since June 2017, following a 20 year career in the Canadian restaurant industry with organizations including Yum! Brands and Tim Hortons. Specializing in strategic procurement, supply chain and logistics, she founded her own consulting business in 2013. Lyndsay is committed to lobbying for rural education initiatives and currently sits as Chair of the Board for Royal Oak School in Niagara-on-the-Lake. She is a past recipient of the Community Service Award for contributions to local education, from the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
