CAA Niagara Expects More Than 21,000 Stranded Motorists During Summer Travel Season

Auto club encourages all drivers to remember these pointers to help avoid becoming stranded, improve safety and save money on gas.

THOROLD, Ont. (May 31, 2012)  - The summer driving season is upon us, and CAA Niagara estimates it will come to the rescue of more than 21,000 stranded motorists between June 1 and Labour Day.

"Families set out on their summer road trips with the best of intentions, but unfortunately, many of them will end up stranded by the roadway," said Bill Willard, CAA Niagara's Vice President of Automotive Services. "However, there are a few tips any driver can remember to reduce their chances of experiencing a breakdown , improve the safety of their road trip and even save a little money."
